Hello! My name is Lauren Cooper and I am a fifth grade teacher at Summit Drive Elementary. I am originally from South Dakota but I have been in Greenville for 14 years now. I graduated Furman University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies. In 2008 I received my Mater’s Degree in Elementary Education. I completed my student teaching and first year teaching in second grade here at Summit Drive. I then made may way to the “big” hall and taught fifth grade for two years, followed by one year teaching third grade. This will be my sixth year back in fifth grade and I am loving it!
In my free time I like to spend time with friends, family, and my puppy Callie. I also enjoy reading, running, cooking, and cheering on my Green Bay Packers!
I feel so fortunate to have second, third, and fifth grade perspectives. I believe that will help me understand where your child is coming from as well as help me prepare them for where they are going. We are going to have a fabulous year full of excitement, adventure, and learning!
